Duration, Medium of Instruction & Language Test
The entire duration of MBBS course in Romania is total 6 years where 5 years for academic education and 1 year of internship. Medium of Instruction is English in majority of Medical Universities of Romania. If students have completed their schooling in English Medium then they need not to qualify any Language Proficiency test like TOEFL or IELTS to get admission in Medical Colleges of Romania. There is no Entrance Examination held by Romania for admission. MBBS session in Romania starts in middle of August for Indian students and other non-EU students for Undergraduate programs, for Postgraduate courses, session begins in Late November and for Doctorate degree intake of students starts in middle of July.
Eligibility
Students seeking admission in Medical Universities of Romania should
Have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of applying of application.
Have valid Passport for Visa and travel purpose.
Have completed 12th standard in Medical Stream
Have scored at least 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in 12th standard.
Process
Before applying for Romanian Student Visa, Accommodation and Travel arrangements students must apply to the university or college he is seeking admission too. Visa Application
On receiving Letter of Acceptance from Ministry of Education of Romania, students can apply for Romanian Student Visa at the Romanian Consulate or Embassy office in India at New Delhi. All students from non-EU countries are required to apply for a Student Visa before their arrival in the country. 
Documents required for Romanian Student Visa are
Fully filled application form (can be done online on the web portal of Romania Embassy).
Acceptance Letter from the University.
Photographs (as instructed on Embassy Portal)
Proof of payment of Tuition Fee for at least one year.
Proof of Financial Funds for the entire course of study. 
Certificate of No Criminal Record
Medical Insurance for the complete duration of stay in country.
Guardian Approval confirming that aspirant is going abroad to study on parent’s will.
Visa Fee
It takes minimum 90 days for Visa Process thus students are advised to apply for Visa as earliest as possible on receiving acceptance letter from the University. Before Visa application students must go through all the instructions and guidelines mentioned on the Embassy’s website. 
Temporary Residence Permit
On arrival in Romania and after making the final inscription at University, international students need to apply for the Residence Permit which initially is valid for one year and must be renewed every year. The University takes this responsibility to renew this permit every year before its expiry. Moreover, for students on scholarships, this residence permit is issued for the entire duration of study and do not require any renewal. 
MCI Test
The students who have completed MBBS abroad have to pass the Screening Test conducted by Medical Council of India in order to work in India. The test is conducted twice a year with no negative marking and 50% is the passing grade. There is no limit of attempts to appear for the test. On clearing the screening test, students can work or practice anywhere in India.
